Il. DESCRIPTION:  Math II continues a progression of the standards established in Math I, including expressions in the real number system, creating and reasoning with equations and inequalities, interpreting and building simple functions, expressing geometric properties and interpreting categorical and quantitative data. In addition to these standards, Math II includes: polynomials, congruence and similarity of figures, trigonometry with triangles, modeling with geometry, probability, making inferences and justifying conclusions.              PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of Math I.

•3 RING BINDER w/ notebook paper OR ONE SUBJECT NOTEBOOK

  • Remain in your seat, unless otherwise directed.
  • No sleeping, eating, or drinking in class.
  • Be in your seat when the bell rings.
  • Respect others and their property.
  • All work on homework, quizzes, or tests must be

    shown to receive credit. Answers only are not acceptable.

  • All SWHS and WCPS policies/rules are also in

 effect for this class

Vl. ATTENDANCE: 

  • Students having 6 or more unexcused absences for this class period will be in immediate jeopardy of not receiving credit for the course
  • Students must be present a MINIMUM OF ONE HOUR to be counted present for the class period.
  • Students have 5 student days to turn in makeup work immediately upon their return to school.

VII. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:     

****BOOK BAGS:  Students can bring their book and notebooks to and from school in book bags; however, they must put their book bags in their lockers where they must remain until the school day is over.  Students must bring their gym clothes to school in plastic grocery bags (shoe bags cannot be used). 

****CELL PHONES:  Per county policy, cell phones are only to be used when they are needed for instructional purposes. Otherwise , they need to be up and out of sight. Students will be allowed to use their cell phone in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch.

DRESS CODE POLICIES

  • Shorts, skirts, dresses, or other clothing cannot be more than 3 inches above the top of the knee, including when leggings or tights are worn.
  • Shirts and tops should be long enough to cover the midriff when sitting or standing.
  • Shirts, tops, and dresses must be buttoned high enough to cover the chest and the back of the body cannot be exposed.
  • No sagging pants allowed and pants cannot be worn with the waistband below the hipbone. Underwear cannot be visible at any time. No see-through or mesh clothing that will reveal the body or will reveal underwear.
  • Oversize clothing or too-tight clothing such as yoga pants, tights, leggings, spandex bicycle/biker shorts, etc. will not be allowed.(Exception: yoga pants, tights, leggings may only be worn under skirt or dress if the skirt or dress is no more than 3 inches above the top of the knee, as stated in rule #1 above,
  • No headwear (hats, caps, hoods, kerchiefs, curlers, sweatbands, etc.) or sunglasses can be worn inside school buildings. No bandannas.
