About Ms. Beck

Ms. Beck is currently teaching for her twelfth year at Southern Wayne High School.  Ms. Beck relocated from Greece (Rochester), NY before the 2006-2007 school year.  Ms. Beck has worked at various levels of ninth grade instruction.  She has taught Intro to English, Standard English I, Honors English I, and Journalism levels 1-4.  She has even had the honor of being one of only two teachers in all of Wayne County to be selected to teach a class in correlation with Johns Hopkins University.  Ms. Beck ran Southern Wayne's homecoming celebrations & assistant coached Varsity Softball for three years.  She organized Southern Wayne's submissions to the Wayne Collection for ten years. She co-advised Book Club for nine years.

Ms. Beck's Education
Ms. Beck graduated from Niagara University in Lewiston, NY in May 2006.  (Go Purple Eagles!!!)  She has a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Secondary Education (grades 6-12).  Ms. Beck graduated with the honors of Cum Laude and made Dean's List seven of her eight semesters at Niagara University.

1st period -  English I Honors
2nd period - English I Honors
3rd period -  Journalism I-IV
4th period -  Planning

Available to meet:
Ms. Beck is available to meet during her planning period or after school.  Please arrange the meeting prior to the day you would like to meet.

Afterschool help:
Ms. Beck will be after school every Wednesday to help students.  Students need to arrange to stay after on Wednesday by Tuesday at 3:15pm.
